General Questions and Answers:
- Do I have to pay if I am just watching my children/friends play games?
- No! We only charge for people playing the games. If you are just hanging out or supervising, you do not need to pay.
- Do you have a membership or any discounts available for frequent visitors?
- Yes! You can pre-purchase discounted game play time with our Multipasses. These punch-cards provide for 10 prepaid visits at a discounted rate. $120 for 10 1-hour visits ($150 value), $240 for 10 2-hour visits ($300 value), or $310 for 10 All-Day Passes ($400 value).
- Can I buy any food or drink at The Game is Afoot Arcade?
- We have coffee, tea, and hot cocoa available for sale for $2/cup. We also have a small selection of candy for $2 each. We have water fountains available also.
Party Information:
- All parties are charged for a minimum of 10 guests. We only charge for guests playing games – chaperones or parents “just hanging out” are not charged. However, they are not permitted to play games unless they are included in the party count or pay for Game Play time on their own.
- We strive to keep all games in good working condition, but due to the nature of their age, parts may fail causing an occasionally game or two to be “Out of Order”. These games will be marked appropriately. If you need assistance with a non-marked game, please ask the attendant.
- You will have access to the Event Room for the entire duration of the party. (It’s a nice place for non-playing parents to catch up!)
- You should have all of your items out of the Event Room at the end time of your party. We often have other events and need time to clean and prepare for our next event.
- We have 2 main tables in the middle of the room. One is 8 feet and one is 6 feet in length. Around the perimeter of the room, we have 4 narrow tables that are 5 feet in length. You can take our Virtual Tour from our Home Page to see how the room is set up.
- During your party, you can request a Green Screen Photo with your guests. $15/photo for each group shot in front of the green screen in the Event Room. The personalized photo will be emailed for your use as you see fit. Please see the attendant during your party if you are interested.
- For Level 2 and Level 3 Events:
- Plates, napkins, cups, and plastic utensils are available upon request.
- Arcade games do not like accidental spills and messes, therefore we ask that your party food/drink be kept to the party room.
- You are welcome to bring in your own food and drink, but alcohol is only allowed for Level 3 Events.
- If you are planning on taping anything to the walls, please only use blue painters tape to minimize damage to our walls. We have some at our Arcade.
- Nothing is permitted to be taped to our Green Screen wall.
- We do not require a final headcount prior to your party. We give each guest who will be playing games a wristband when they arrive. After all of your guests have arrived, and prior to the end of your party, we will count the wristbands that were given out and you will be able to pay for the exact number of guests you had at your party.
- Deposits are non-refundable. $50 for a Level 1 or Level 2 Party. $100 for a Level 3 Party.
